By: Mölnlycke Health Care, March 25 2013Posted in: Radiotherapy

Hear Dr. Patries Herst talk about the new and exciting study: Mepilex Lite Dressings for Radiation-Induced Skin Reactions.

Dr Patries Herst is a senior lecturer in the Department of Radiation Therapy at the Medical School of the University of Otago in Wellington, New Zealand. She teaches undergraduate and postgraduate radiation therapy students and has been running small clinical trials in New Zealand for many years. Because Patries is passionate about improving the quality of life of cancer patients, her clinical trials try out new treatments that may be better at preventing and treating radiation-induced side effects, such as skin reactions, mouth ulcers, cystitis, diarrhoea and nausea.
