Exufiber can be used with a wide range of exuding wounds, such as leg and foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, partial thickness burns, surgical wounds, donor sites, malignant wounds and dermal lesions. Exufiber is a unique dressing using Hydrolock® technology, which makes use of strong polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) fibres that are entangled together in all directions, mechanically secured to each other, providing the high wet integrity. Excellent locking properties of the PVA technology, together with well-balanced space between the fibres, minimize free fluid inside the product, enabling superior1 retention, Exufiber may contribute to potentially fewer and less painful dressing changes, a lower risk of leakage and maceration and time savings.
Fibre dressings reinvented
Exufiber with Hydrolock® technology is designed for highly exuding wounds. Exufiber is made of a different synthetic material than conventional fibre dressings. Hydrolock technology is designed to pack each dressing with fibres, leaving less space for fluid to flow freely, which contributes to superior fluid retention compared to other gelling fibre dressings2 and reduces the risk of leakage1. In turn, this offers protection from skin maceration.
How it works
The mechanically secured fibres are made of a strong synthetic material that swells upon contact with fluid and locks it securely away. This gives Exufiber higher fluid retention rates (up to 22% higher) compared to many dressings on the market2.
